Chew Jetty is one of the remaining clan jetties in George Town, offering a glimpse into the unique culture and history of Penang’s Chinese immigrant community. These jetties consist of buildings on stilts inhabited by clan members.

It is recommended to visit Chew Jetty between 9 AM and 9 PM.
Accessibility:
Chew Jetty is located off Pengkalan Weld Road in George Town, Penang Island. It is easily accessible by walking from the heritage zone or by bus via the Weld Quay bus terminal. You can also take a ferry from Butterworth to the Penang Island terminal and then walk, take a bus, or grab a taxi to Chew Jetty.
What to Do:
- Walk along the narrow wooden walkway to observe the unique architecture of the wooden stilt houses and experience daily life on the waterfront.
